Citrus basket

Ufficio Tecnico Alessi

The 370 citrus holder is one of the oldest Alessi products still in the catalog, born out of research on bent metal wire conducted by the Alessi Technical Department in the second half of the 1940s. It is an example of collective design work, having withstood market fashions while maintaining worldwide success. An unintentional protagonist of cult scenes in 1950s and 1960s cinema, it appears in a memorable exchange between Jack Lemmon and an Italian bartender in a 1972 Billy Wilder film set in Ischia.
