Alessi participates to Matter & Shape, a new design salon in the heart of Paris that promotes design and creativity from all over the world.
We are pleased to announce our participation to Matter & Shape, a new design salon that took place in the Jardin des Tuileries of Paris from March 1st to 4th.
Fashion brands, creators, design companies and modern galleries have been encouraged to exhibit meaningful displays of limited editions to industrial-scale items.
We, at Alessi, have been honored to have curator Clarisse Demory selecting some of our objects related to the potential of the domestic landscape, a concept that aims to give meaning to everyday life and focus on the essential with apparent simplicity and natural harmony in a poetic installation.
Creative Director Dan Thawley affirmed that “Matter & Shape is a reflection of design today. It’s functional, accessible and aspirational, but also diverse and eclectic.”
It brings together projects from all over the world giving visitors and potential buyers the opportunity to discover something new.
“A young enthusiast may leave with a candle, a magazine, and ideas for their first home. A department store buyer could pick up 10 new brands to present to their homewares department. An architect or decorator might discover new suppliers or materials. And a blue-chip collector might just discover their next big thing.”
